One of the newest designs, the Boeing 777 has set most of the standards on designing and building aircraft.  The design of the 777 started in 1990, and the aircraft became the first airplane designed totally on a computer.  This aircraft is the biggest twin jet airliner ever built, and holds a total of 368 people.  The 777 boasts the longest range of any commercial jet in the world.  Boeing set the record for the longest flight by flying the 777 from Hong Kong to London, and the flight flew over the United States.  Visibly the aircraft looks like the original version; however, the design of the aircraft has changed over thirty-five percent.  The improvements are mostly to extend the range of the aircraft, and more power has been added to the engines.  For the past twenty years, the 777 has helped set the standard on international travel.
